Welcome entry from Marrett

Ok, I know its been a while since Aashish said he wanted our blogs up. I wanted to get this up though as soon as possible since the Loudoun County Young Democrats just had a great first meeting on Monday night!! It was awesome. Loudoun is now on the map and is in the game.
We had an amazing crowd, which was about ten people, TEN!! In a county that generally goes red, Monday night I hope sets the trend for future successes for Young Democrats to come, as well as the color blue. We discussed a lot of the necessary materials about getting officially chartered and organized.

We have set another date which I believe is October 17th to be held again at the LCDC HQ in Leesburg. I might be wrong on the date, not looking at my notes. Two people who were instrumental in helping out were Ginger Walker and Nick Morgan whom have been active in the local chapter for a while now. They deserve a lot of kudos for helping pull this off and spreading the word to the local committee. When we elect our first set of officers, I have no doubt that one of them should lead as president, they have invested a lot and I hope you all get to meet them in the future.

I am working with Mr. Thom Beres, Chairman of LCDC on possibly putting on a fundraiser soon so I can fulfill my duties and get some stuff going for LCYD's. And to make Mr. President (Dominic) feel better. (Thank you Thom!!) One possibility is rolling around and I have talked to a couple of bands about coming out but I dont want to say anything about where it is until I have better details. I'd love to hear from anyone about anything potential.
